The Resident Leadership Council reflects Harborlight’s commitment to resident-centered housing and authentic partnership. Council members work collaboratively with staff and fellow residents to elevate community voices and contribute to organization-wide growth.

Meetings focus on shared learning, open dialogue, and practical collaboration aimed at improving resident experience and strengthening community connections.

Council members meet three times per year to:

• Provide feedback on Harborlight programs, services, and strategic priorities
• Explore leadership and advocacy learning opportunities
• Partner with staff to strengthen resident experience
• Collaborate on initiatives that promote equity and community well-being

Each Harborlight property may have up to two resident representatives (one for smaller sites). Council members represent their neighbors and contribute to organization-wide improvement efforts.

We welcome residents who are passionate about strengthening their communities, interested in sharing ideas and listening to others, and ready to collaborate with Harborlight staff and fellow residents. No prior leadership experience is required — only a desire to learn and make a difference.

To recognize the time and energy residents contribute, RLC members receive a stipend following each meeting. Council members commit to attending three meetings per year and participating in collaborative discussions that support Harborlight communities.
