
About the Housing Stewards
The Housing Stewards Program supports and empowers local residents who are not serving on boards or commissions to engage in meaningful conversations about affordable housing in their communities. Through guided learning and discussion, participants build practical knowledge about housing policy, zoning, community history, and the challenges surrounding affordable housing in Massachusetts.
What Participants Gain
Participants leave the program with a stronger understanding of how housing issues affect their communities and the confidence to engage thoughtfully in local conversations. The program focuses on practical knowledge and skills that support informed civic participation.
